Sailing north with friends and a few unanswered marina questions

Finally throwing my hat in the ring after reading more than a few threads on this board. Just wrapped up a loop through the Bahamas on an Outremer 45 with a buddy or two who don't mind pulling lines and keeping watch. Now we're aiming north and trying to track down a marina that won't make us hold our breath every time we come alongside. If anyone's got a suggestion or 2, I'm all ears.
