Hello CF! Former Middle Keys residents here, I am looking to buy a 40' catamaran and a live-aboard marina slip or T-Head instead of mooring balls. Most slips fit monohulls, not wider cats, any recommended sites or marinas? I am open to adjacent slips without finger docks too.

That sounds like a solid plan! There are definitely a few marinas you should check out. For instance, Mangrove Marina in Tavernier is great for wider beams, and if you're thinking about Marathon, Sombrero Marina is super friendly for liveaboards. I've heard a lot of people rave about Sunset Marina in Key West too, especially if you don't mind going a bit further south. By the way, what area are you aiming for specifically?

Brokers and yacht management companies sometimes have the inside track on slips too, especially for cats. Keep an eye on sites like DockSearch, Snag-A-Slip, or Dockwa, and don't overlook calling marinas directly, even if they don't advertise cat space, they may have flexible options like bulkhead tie-ups or end slips.
